দার্জিলিং এ পুলিশ জনতার খন্ড যুদ্ধে চলল গুলি মৃত এক, রাজনীতি করতে গিয়ে পাহাড়কে বাংলা থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী দাবি বিজেপির রাজ্য সভার এমপি রুপা গাঙ্গুলীর।

 মৃত্যু হল এক গোর্খা জনমুক্তি মোর্চা সমর্থকের। জানা যাচ্ছে, সিংমারির নিকটে সেন্ট জোসেফ কলেজের কাছে গুলিবিদ্ধ হয় ওই মোর্চা সমর্থক। গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েই মৃত্যু হয় তাঁর। দেহ নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে সেনা হাসপাতালে। তবে, কোনদিক থেকে কে গুলি চালিয়েছে, সে সম্বন্ধে এখনও নিশ্চিত করে কিছু জানা যায়নি।
রাজ্য পুলিশের এডিজে অনুজ শর্মা জানিয়েছেন, পুলিশের গুলিতে নয় মোর্চার গুলিতেই মৃত্যু হয়েছে তাদের এক সমর্থকের।

মোর্চার মিছিল কর্মসূচি ঘিরে আজ সকাল থেকেই ফের উত্তপ্ত পাহাড়। সিংমারিতে মোর্চার মিছিল পৌঁছালে কার্যত রণক্ষেত্রের চেহারা নেয় এলাকা। মোর্চা সমর্থকদের সঙ্গে খণ্ডযুদ্ধ বেঁধে যায় পুলিসের। শুরু হয় ইটবৃষ্টি। গাড়িতে আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। পাল্টা কাঁদানে গ্যাসের শেল ছোঁড়ে পুলিসও। আটকে পড়েন সংবাদমাধ্যমের প্রতিনিধিরা। প্রায় দেড়ঘণ্টা ধরে চলে খন্ড যুদ্ধ ।
